Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform advanced maintenance on biomedical and clinical data/network systems across multiple sites. You will lead preventive maintenance, calibrations, and equipment testing while ensuring patient safety and uptime.

The role requires strong diagnostic, teamwork, and documentation skills, with duties including equipment installations, evaluations, quotes, and oversight of external vendors as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field or 5 years progressive repair/PM experience in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to respond to diagnostic ultrasound, portable fluoroscopy, and dye injector service calls.
  • Ability to service in operating rooms and communicate in a customer-focused service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs, installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and calibrates equipment.
  • Completes preventive maintenance workload to maintain high PM compliance.
  • Develops and implements preventive maintenance manuals and QA testing procedures.
