Job summary

Spheros Environmental is seeking a Senior Biologist to lead biological services across wildlife biology, botany, and wetlands, with responsibilities for project quality, permitting, and resource management. The role emphasizes independent judgment, client interaction, and team leadership in a remote setting.

The position involves designing field surveys, guiding field crews, and delivering technical reports while ensuring compliance with NEPA/CEQA and agency requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in natural resources-related field.
• Experience with NEPA/CEQA documentation and permitting (EIS, EA, BA, BE, etc.).
• Experience coordinating with agencies (BLM, USFS, USFWS, USACE) and other clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead biological studies within scopes and budgets, interfacing with clients and agencies.
• Design and lead field surveys (wildlife, botany, wetlands), manage GPS/GIS data, prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate field crews and subconsultants; communicate technical concepts clearly.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in natural resources, wildlife, botany, ecology, environmental science, wetland science, planning, or related field
