Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an experienced scientist to support biologic drug product formulation, characterization, and process development. The role spans from early development through commercialization, with emphasis on potent biologics in a BSL-2 setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in pharmaceutical sciences or 5+ years with MS in related field.
• Strong background in protein formulation and characterization.
• BSL-2 lab experience with highly potent compounds preferred.
• Experience with SPR, protein stability and formulation screening.
• Experience with sustained release formulations and lyophilization is desirable.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute formulation and process development for biologics in early to late-stage development.
• Generate high-quality data, reports, and regulatory documents.
• Collaborate in drug product development teams to meet goals and timelines.
• Drive innovation and develop new experimental approaches and workflows.
• Develop lab automation systems for high-throughput testing and data generation.
• Interact with CMC and AbbVie stakeholders to enable product development.
