Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a Bioinformatics Software Engineer III to advance precision oncology by building software that supports cancer genomics research and clinical care.

You will collaborate with engineers, scientists, and clinicians to design scalable systems for genomic data interpretation, content curation, and clinical annotation. The role drives the OncoKB platform enhancements and real-time genomic variant annotation for patient reports and research.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS, bioinformatics, or related field.
• 4+ years of full-stack web development experience.
• Experience building production-level software applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Interest in learning cancer biology, genomics, and precision medicine.

Responsabilidades

• Develop comprehensive system designs that support OncoKB platform scalability.
• Collaborate with Lead Software Engineer and multidisciplinary teams.
• Design and enhance front-end and back-end apps for genomic analysis and clinical annotation workflows.
• Contribute to growth of OncoKB website, API, and database infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
