Job summary

Personalis, Inc. in Fremont, California, is seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to develop and apply cutting-edge cfDNA and solid tumor cancer genomics products. You will collaborate with scientists, software engineers, and clinical teams to translate findings into new, high-impact genomics solutions for immuno-oncology and clinical trials.

The role emphasizes leadership in multi-participant projects, survival analysis, and publishing results, with onsite days Monday and Tuesday.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in bioinformatics, genomics, or a related field.
Experience managing large multi-participant projects.
Experience with cancer liquid biopsy analysis.
Experience with survival analysis.
Proficiency in Python or R.
Experience publishing and presenting scientific results.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and manage scientific collaborations applying liquid biopsy and solid tumor products.
Build upon our NeXT Personal MRD liquid biopsy platform.
Work cross-functionally to translate collaborative findings into actively developed cutting-edge products.
Design and execute scientific projects and experiments focused on performance and clinical advantages of our cell-free platforms.
Modeling and analysis of large, complex genomics datasets to generate biological and clinical insights.
Publish results and present at conferences in cell-free DNA, cancer genomics, and immuno-oncology.
