Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist to design, develop, and implement bioinformatics pipelines for MRD testing and other NGS assays in a hybrid工作 arrangement.

The role requires expertise in NGS data analysis, statistical modeling, and translating genomic data into production clinical pipelines while collaborating with wet lab, clinical ops, R&D, and software teams to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions for patient testing and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience analyzing NGS data.
• Proficiency in bioinformatics pipeline workflow management (Nextflow preferred).
• Experience with regulated clinical or diagnostic environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for MRD test development and clinical deployment.
• Analyze high throughput NGS data and derive actionable insights for product development.
• Collaborate with scientists, clinicians, and engineers to validate and integrate solutions.
• Apply software engineering best practices to pipelines for scalability and reliability.
• Document and validate systems in compliance with clinical regulatory standards.
• Stay current with oncology genomics and computational biology methods to drive innovation.
• Identify problems, explore alternatives, and contribute to technical decisions.
• Prepare and present information at project meetings and to customers.
