Job summary

Precision Medicine Group in Frederick, MD, is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead Bioanalysis and Biomarker programs, supervising laboratory staff and ensuring timely assay design, development, validation, and execution in the Ligand Binding platform.

The role requires a PhD with 6 years or MS with 10 years of lab experience, plus hands-on expertise with MSD, Quanterix, Luminex and ELISA, along with strong data analysis and communication skills.

Qualifications

• PhD with 6 years of relevant laboratory experience or Master’s with 10 years.
• Experience with multiple bioanalytical platforms (MSD, Quanterix, Luminex, ELISA).
• Ability to troubleshoot and refine bioanalysis and biomarker assays.
• Experience handling diverse sample matrices (blood, plasma/serum, CSF).
• Strong communication and data analysis skills.
• Familiarity with GLP/GCLP/CLIA compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform experiments, independently analyze data and present results.
• Lead Bioanalysis and Biomarker projects through assay development, validation, and execution.
• Serve as Technical Lead in Ligand Binding Platform.
• Assist in establishing and improving SOP documentation.
• Troubleshoot assays and resolve routine scientific issues.
• Identify and implement emerging laboratory techniques.
• Maintain lab safety and collaborate with technical teams.
• Support equipment qualifications and performance checks.
• Monitor project expenses and report outcomes.
• Present completed work at meetings or in publications.
• Supervise assigned staff to ensure efficient project execution.
• Assist with writing and publishing papers and proposals.
