Job summary

Lilly is seeking an experienced scientist with LC-MS/MS expertise to lead bioanalytical method development, validation, and PK/bioanalysis across drug programs. The role provides scientific leadership to cross-functional teams working on biotherapeutics and novel modalities.

Responsibilities include method development, regulatory compliance, CRO oversight, and collaboration with discovery teams. A Ph.D. with 3+ years in the field and hands-on LC-MS/MS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline with 3+ years of industry experience.
• Hands-on LC-MS/MS for quantitative bioanalysis of proteins/peptides.
• Knowledge of FDA/EMA BMV guidance and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and qualify LC-MS/MS methods for protein/peptide biomarkers and PK analytes in biological matrices.
• Lead strategy for IA-LC-MS/MS or hybrid LBA-LC-MS approaches for large molecules/biomarkers.
• Oversee sample analysis campaigns and troubleshoot matrix effects and assay robustness.
• Author/review method validation protocols, reports, and SOPs with regulatory/compliance focus.
• Serve as scientific contact for CROs, overseeing method transfer and data quality.
• Collaborate with discovery teams for study design and data interpretation.
• Present data and rationale in cross-functional settings.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to training and process improvements.
