Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) seeks a Bio-Optics Engineer to drive the design and adaptation of a fluorescence imaging platform for biological and biochemical applications, tailoring it to client requirements and integrating optics, hardware and software.

You will develop performance criteria with clients, build customized optical test systems, characterize platform performance, and lead data collection, analysis and improvement efforts across diverse projects and sites.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Applied Physics or Optical Engineering.
• 5+ years building and operating optical characterization systems.
• Experience in automated experiment design and construction.
• Experience in automated data collection and analysis.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; capable of independent work.
• Self-motivated, creative with a proactive mindset.
• Record of innovation, execution, and results.
• Python programming skills.
• Optical physics modelling experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and partners to develop performance criteria.
• Design and build customized optical characterization test systems for new platform characterization.
• Characterize new platform performance and lead performance improvement and redesign efforts.
• Carry out extensive data collection and analysis in support of platform characterization and improvements.
• Work with peers to prioritize and coordinate activities.
• Contribute to design improvements and IP generation.
