Job summary

RRD is seeking a Printing and Bindery Specialist to work the 12 Hour Day Shift in Durham, NC. You will set up, adjust and operate binding machines, inspect equipment for safety, and coordinate multiple work stations to deliver finished books, catalogs or magazines.

A $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) with match. The role requires strong attention to quality and productivity and the ability to lead a production

Qualifications

• Knowledge of setup and adjustment procedures for binding, folding, collating and cutting printed materials.
• Ability to read and interpret machine operation instructions to maintain accuracy.
• Experience with multiple bindery stations and coordinating workflows.
• Knowledge of paper weights, sizes, colors, and conditioning effects on machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Operate automatic adhesive binding machines (perfect binders) feeding collated sheets.
• Adjust to coordinate multiple work stations on a single machine.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production and monitor quality and productivity.
