Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in New York, NY, is seeking a BIM Technician III - IV to draft, edit and coordinate MEP plans using AutoCAD and Revit. The role emphasizes strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic team.

You will work on complex building systems, maintain CAD/BIM standards, and collaborate with engineers and external coordinators. This position offers a hybrid work schedule with in-office and remote hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or trade school completion or equivalent formal training.
• Minimum 8 years CAD/BIM with an AEC firm or 5 years with an MEP firm.
• Advanced skills with Revit and MEP workflows.
• Advanced skills with AutoCAD and MEP tools.
• Proficient in drawings, red marks, and floor plans/elevations.
• Familiar with latest National CAD/BIM standards.
• Experience with various file formats.
• Experience with Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing trades.
• Proficient in MS Office; able to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set up, draft, convert, produce and edit MEP plans using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Produce setup drawings/sheets/views consistent with CAD/BIM standards.
• Modify CAD/BIM files for use in MEP design drawings; perform clean-up and audits.
• Set up new projects/drawings/models for MEP engineers; coordinate workflows.
• Prepare client submissions; plot, create PDFs, review documents.
