Job summary

Prism Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior BIM Designer in Texas to lead 3D modeling from field layouts, coordinate BIM workflows, and mentor junior BIM staff. The role collaborates across engineering, operations, and GC teams on design-build projects.

The candidate will maintain BIM budgets, refine templates and standards, and produce BOMs to support procurement and scheduling. Strong Revit/Navisworks skills and NEC knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of CAD drafting experience in Electrical Commercial Construction.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Electrical field experience and/or Electrical Theory degree required.
• Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC) required.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit is required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build 3D models in Revit and Navisworks from field layouts.
• Coordinate BIM clash detection and resolution.
• Upload models and drive BIM coordination through model sign-off.
• Mentor BIM Designers and Detailers.
• Assist managing BIM budgets across projects.
• Collaborate with GC, MEP trades, and engineering on design/build projects.
• Develop and maintain PEI Revit templates, details and standards.
• Produce bill of materials for procurement/labor tracking.
