Job summary

Stinson LLP in Minneapolis is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to report to the Billing Manager/Supervisor and manage client invoicing, help desk tasks, and confidential handling of matters for attorneys and staff.

The role requires a 2 year degree in accounting or equivalent experience, at least 4 years of billing experience, and professional services experience with Elite software. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of billing experience.
• Experience working in a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

• Process client invoices.
• Prepare, obtain approval, and generate adjustments in billing system for write-downs and write-offs.
• Post and reconcile cash receipts.
• Ensure client discounts are current, entered in system, and processed correctly.
• Prepare and distribute matter unbilled time detail reports to partners.
• Review, revise, and edit the approved time detail reports.
• Finalize, prepare, and transmit final bills to clients.
• Follow up and handle internal/external client requests, including attorneys and LAAs.
• Monthly Design, create, and compile custom Excel or Elite reports for clients per their billing guidelines.
• Prepare and mail monthly client statements.
• Maintain status reporting of billing progress.
• Create, transmit, and follow up client electronic e-billing.
