Job summary

Thompson Hine LLP seeks a Senior Billing Specialist to manage all client billing for an assigned group of attorneys across multiple offices. You will prepare monthly prebills, draft bills, and ensure compliance with client guidelines while handling complex multi-payor and e-billing workflows.

The role requires five years of billing experience, fluency with Aderant, Classic, Elite, BillBlast, and eBilling Hub, plus strong Excel skills and a commitment to superb client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in a Billing Coordinator or Specialist role.
• Experience with diverse client billing platforms and electronic billing.
• Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing processes and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly prebills and ad-hoc prebills for attorney review.
• Prepare and revise draft bills with attorney comments.
• Review prebills to ensure client guidelines compliance.
• Submit timekeeper/rate approvals and apply retainer funds.
• Process write-downs and manage e-billing submissions.
• Analyze billing rejections and communicate updates to attorneys.
• Maintain detailed billing notes and generate internal/external reports.
