Job summary

Cleary Gottlieb is seeking a Senior Pricing Operations Manager to own the end-to-end billing compliance process and to coordinate with the Pricing Operations, eBilling and Global Client Account teams. The role reports to the Senior Pricing Operations Manager within the Revenue Operations Team and requires managing client guidelines, matter plans, cost constraints, and timely invoice submission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MS or other advanced degree a plus
• 5+ years of corporate or law firm experience in billing, e-billing, pricing, or a related role
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent writing, organizational and communication skills
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet deadlines
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word, including experience creating partner-ready materials

Responsibilities

• Review client outside counsel guidelines, engagement letters and billing policies; summarize key provisions for the Pricing Operations Manager and Risk Attorneys
• Design, implement, and maintain rules in the billing system to drive attorney compliance with client guidelines
• Monitor updates to client guidelines and drive resolution of material changes
• Lead coordination with the Global Client Account Team and eBilling to ensure invoices meet requirements
• Onboard new clients onto the client's eBilling system and configure client-specific requirements
• Set up and maintain matter plans with client-required task and activity codes
• Implement and maintain client cost constraints in the billing system
• Communicate upcoming client billing deadlines to teams and drive timely compliance
• Maintain centralized calendar for billing deadlines and rate submission cycles
• Provide guidance on billing compliance inquiries and escalate when needed
• Prepare internal reports related to billing compliance, invoice rejection trends, and OCG adherence
• Lead training on OCG requirements and billing policies
• Drive process improvement initiatives from start to finish
