Job summary

AccruePartners in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Billing & Revenue Specialist to join a high-volume team focused on accurate revenue recognition and US GAAP compliance.

You will perform billing activities, reconcile accounts, and act as a technical resource for the billing function, applying ASC 606 and contributing to ledger integrity while balancing detailed analysis with timely execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume billing and revenue environments.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 principles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and review billing activities in a high-volume environment.
  • Complete account and billing reconciliations for ledger accuracy.
  • Apply debits and credits to billing and revenue activity.
  • Evaluate transactions for recognition in the correct period.
  • Apply ASC 606 and US GAAP to revenue-related activities.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between billing and accounting records.
  • Serve as a technical resource for billing team members.
  • Support accurate revenue recognition and reporting across the billing function.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of billing, accounting, revenue, or related experience
  • Strong understanding of debits and credits
  • Experience performing account reconciliations and researching discrepancies
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
  • Ability to determine appropriate accounting periods for revenue activity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to serve as a technical resource and support less experienced team members
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage significant transaction volume
