Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer on the Digital Natives team to shape the big data landscape by partnering with world-class data teams.

You will design architectures using our platform and APIs, guiding customers through best practices and integrations. You will collaborate with Sales and Field Engineering, travel regionally, and help build technical champions while promoting open-source projects like Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role.
• Experience building distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in Python and SQL.
• Have built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or Data Science/ML technologies (pandas, scikit-learn, pytorch, TensorFlow).
• Available to travel to customers in your region.
• Desired degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research).
• Nice to have: the company Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to help customers understand how our platform solves business problems.
• Consult on Big Data architectures, implement proofs of concept across data engineering, data science and ML workflows.
• Validate integrations with cloud services, homegrown tools, and third-party applications.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects to support customers and users.
• Become an expert and promote open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) within the developer community.
