Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join the ShipTech Analytics team. You will design scalable ETL pipelines and metrics for Amazon's global transportation network, using AWS big data tools to turn raw data into actionable insights.

Collaborate with operations and analytics partners to translate business needs into data solutions, ensure data quality, and deliver dashboards that enable fast, informed decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional or military experience.
• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 4+ years handling large multi-dimensional datasets.
• 1+ year of statistical analysis experience.
• 5+ years as Data Analyst / Data Engineer / BI Analyst or related.
• 5+ years using SQL, ETL, or Oracle.
• Experience extracting, transforming and cleaning large data sets.
• Experience scripting for automation (e.g. Python).
• Experience translating data needs to business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable ETL and metrics for Amazon's global transportation network.
• Build data reporting and tools that streamline the business lifecycle.
• Partner with operations and analytics to translate requirements into solutions and deliver metrics.
• Own data quality and implement enhancements for datasets enabling excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize analytics and build AI-powered automation.
• Leverage AWS cloud technologies to turn raw data into actionable metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement through code reviews and best practices.
• Work with senior/principal engineers to scale data services and improve customer experiences.
