Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer in Bellevue, WA to define and build inventory placement success metrics and reduce distance to customers by placing the right items in the right Amazon buildings. You will analyze complex data, identify process improvements, and collaborate with planning teams, fulfillment centers, and global tech teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data in data warehouses (Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Quicksight) for dashboards.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with statistical analysis packages (R, SAS, Matlab).
• SQL querying and Python scripting for data processing and modelling.

Responsibilities

• Design and own metrics measuring inventory placement performance.
• Recommend improvements to placement strategy using models and large datasets.
• Pilot and implement recommendations in production through smart configurations.
• Develop analytics to visualize opportunities and measure progress.
• Partner with global technical teams to develop new features.
• Collaborate with planning, SCOT, SCE, S&OP and Finance teams.
