Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to shape data modeling, governance, and delivery from our Databricks platform. You’ll build trusted data products, set standards, and enable self‑service analytics across Power BI, Tableau, and other tools for cross‑functional teams.

The role focuses on data quality, delivery timeliness, cost control, and security, with dashboards spanning executive summaries to operational detail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in BI, analytics engineering, or data engineering with dashboards and data models.
• 3+ years SQL coding and strong dimensional modeling skills.
• 3+ years with Tableau or Power BI including publishing and permissions.
• 3+ years building governed semantic layers (Power BI/Tableau/dbt).
• 3+ years on cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, BigQuery).
• 3+ years in data governance (RBAC, PHI/PII handling).

Responsibilities

• Reporting Data Models & Metrics: maintain dimensional models and metrics in Databricks.
• Dashboards & Visualization: build dashboards for data quality, timeliness, SLA, and cost.
• Self‑Service Enablement: publish datasets and train users; maintain data dictionary.
• Governance & Guardrails: define data exposure, access controls, and naming standards.
• Tool Strategy: evaluate BI tools and keep business logic in the data layer.
• Performance & Reliability: tune queries and manage BI assets across environments.
• Stakeholder Partnership: gather requirements and drive adoption.
