Job summary

Vivint Smart Home is hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join the central analytics team within our product organization. This role is responsible for building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers how the product organization measures, understands, and improves our business.

You will own the design, development, and reliability of the core data pipelines, models, and metrics layer that our dashboards, analyses, and product decisions depend on.

Qualifications

• Experience building production data pipelines.
• Fluent in SQL and Python, with data warehousing best practices.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow and transformation frameworks like dbt.
• Ability to work across technical and business teams.
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments and delivering production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and maintenance of core data pipelines and warehouse models.
• Partner with engineering to validate instrumentation and event tracking.
• Build and optimize data models turning unstructured data into clean datasets.
• Own data quality end-to-end including validation and monitoring.
• Collaborate with analysts and product teams to translate needs into data models.
• Build internal tools and automation, including AI and scripting.
• Support self-serve analytics with clean datasets and a consistent metrics layer.
• Contribute to evolution of analytics platform, data warehouse, orchestration, and tooling.
