Job summary

Western Express in Nashville, TN is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the BI team and enhance reporting and analytics capabilities. The role focuses on data analysis, visualization, and delivering scalable data products while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders on self-directed and team projects.

Ideal candidates are self-starters with strong problem-solving and communication skills who can own deliverables, manage multiple projects, and drive data-informed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SQL query writing experience.
• 5+ years of BI tools experience (Tableau, Power BI, WebFOCUS).
• Experience with MS SQL Suite (SSMS, SSIS) is preferred.
• Supply chain and/or transportation industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to translate business questions into scalable data products.

Responsibilities

• Use SQL to access, build, and update tables, views, and procedures.
• Analyze data quality and accuracy.
• Ingest and transform data to create KPIs.
• Translate business questions into scalable data products and own end-to-end delivery.
• Develop user-friendly tools using MS SQL, WebFOCUS, or related tools.
• Automate time-consuming processes with programmatic solutions.
• Communicate progress and priorities with stakeholders.
• Document processes and manage multiple projects methodically.
