Job summary

Western Express is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the BI team and expand our reporting and analytics capabilities in Nashville, TN. This on-site role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and building scalable data products for stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will own deliverables, translate business questions into data solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SQL query writing experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a BI/analytics role using MS SQL suite.
• BI tools experience including Tableau, Power BI, WebFOCUS.

Responsibilities

• Use SQL (T-SQL syntax) to access, build, and update tables, views, stored procedures, etc.
• Analyze data quality and accuracy.
• Ingest and transform data from various systems to create KPIs.
• Translate business questions into scalable data products - owning design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
• Develop tools to support end users using MS SQL, WebFOCUS, AS400, SQL Viewpoint.
• Simplify time-intensive, error-prone processes with programmatic solutions.
• Communicate with team members and stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and progress.
• Document processes and procedures.
• Manage multiple complex projects in a methodical and structured way.
