Job summary

Pearce is seeking an Advanced BESS Technician (Operations and Maintenance) in McCamey, Texas. The role involves hands-on maintenance of Battery Energy Storage Systems at commercial and industrial sites across the United States, with preference for candidates near McCamey.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting BESS equipment, LOTO procedures, safety planning, and collaboration with vendors and customers to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on site.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components is required.
• 2-4+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
• A commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
• Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet EHS requirements is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person and under properly performed LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, JHAs, and RAs.
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Act as a team member to support site work focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
