Zusammenfassung

The AES Corporation seeks a Senior BESS Product Safety Engineer to serve as a core technical authority for BESS safety architecture, ensuring designs meet NFPA, UL, and safety standards throughout the lifecycle.

This role requires ~30% travel across the U.S. with potential international assignments. The preferred location is Louisville, CO, but we are open to reviewing U.S.-based candidates.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 5-7 years in mechanical design and fire protection for safety-critical systems.
• Strong knowledge of BESS fire codes and standards (UL 9540/9540A, NFPA 68/69/72/855, NFPA 110/111).
• Experience with permitting, testing, and regulatory processes.
• Proficiency with CAD and safety modeling tools.

Aufgaben

• Oversee BESS safety architecture with design and testing oversight.
• Review drawings, layouts, CAD models, and safety requirements.
• Lead fire and safety testing, UL 9540/9540A, and modeling work.
• Develop permitting documents and coordinate with AHJs and certifiers.
