Job summary

HDR seeks an Electrical Engineer to support grid-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in Austin, Texas. The candidate will develop engineering designs and work on various related projects, contributing to sustainable power systems.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, and at least 10 years of experience, alongside expertise in AutoCAD. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in design of battery energy storage systems.
• Understanding of communication network topology and fire alarm systems.
• Ability to travel to support projects, up to 10% domestic and international.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review engineering design plans and specifications.
• Conduct quality assurance/quality control on work of engineers and designers.
