Job summary

HDR is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their Power sector team in Round Rock, Texas. In this role, you will support grid-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, contributing to the design and implementation of renewable energy solutions. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

You will coordinate with various engineering disciplines, develop detailed designs, and ensure compliance with industry standards. HDR offers a supportive environment with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical design of BESS or related fields.
• Strong skills in analyzing technical data related to battery storage systems.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support BESS projects from conceptual layouts to construction documents.
• Evaluate energy storage technologies and support client implementation.
• Conduct QA/QC on engineering designs and support construction phase.
