Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Benefits and Payroll Manager to oversee the administration, management, and compliance of benefits, leave, and payroll programs, ensuring accurate and timely pay and compliant benefits. This role requires 7+ years HR/benefits experience, proficiency with Paylocity, and strong communication.

The position is based in Lancaster, South Carolina, with responsibilities across enrollment, vendor coordination, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years HR and benefits experience
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented with thorough follow-up
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiar with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, OSHA

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, 401(k), life insurance, disability and voluntary benefits.
• Oversee annual Open Enrollment including planning, vendor coordination, system configuration, employee communication, and reconciliation.
• Ensure benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, status changes and terminations are processed accurately and timely with Paylocity.
• Coordinate and resolve enrollment, eligibility, claims, billing, and data-feed issues with benefit carriers and vendors.
• Review benefit invoices and reconcile them against payroll and enrollment records.
• Develop employee communications and educational materials to help employees understand and utilize their benefits.
• Ensure benefits and payroll programs comply with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
• Provide backup to payroll, as needed; assist with processing paperwork for terminations and leaves.
