Job summary

Fusion Recruiters seeks a Benefits Manager to own and optimize the company’s comprehensive benefits portfolio onsite in Sheboygan Falls, WI. You’ll manage plans across medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and wellness, aligning with ERISA and local regulations.

You will partner with Payroll, Finance, and Plant Leadership to control costs, improve processes, and deliver employee-focused benefits communications and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of progressive benefits experience.
• Experience with self-funded plans, hourly and salaried populations, union employees, retirement and retiree benefits.
• Deep knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, Form 5500, plan documentation, audits and notices.
• Experience managing carriers, brokers, vendors, and TPAs; strong HRIS/benefits platform and Excel skills; UKG preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the full benefits portfolio, including plans, costs, communications, and enrollments.
• Lead negotiations with carriers, vendors, brokers, and TPAs; drive renewals and service improvements.
• Oversee open enrollment, benefits communications, and employee education on complex questions.
• Maintain compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, Wisconsin requirements, and required filings.
• Partner with Finance and Operations to evaluate costs, utilization, and total rewards strategies.
