Job summary

Grainger seeks a Senior Manager, Benefits to lead design, implementation and ongoing administration of U.S. health and welfare programs. You will partner with leaders, vendors and consultants to optimize plan design, costs and compliance.

You will manage a small benefits team, oversee annual enrollment, and drive continuous improvement while aligning programs with business strategy in a hybrid Lake Forest/Chicago work location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of benefits experience with plan design and vendor management.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience in benefits or related function.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and IRS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation and administration of health and welfare programs.
• Evaluate competitiveness, sustainability, affordability and compliance.
• Present to leadership on annual benefit planning and vendor Reviews.
• Manage external consultants and vendor relationships; oversee SLAs and QBRs.
• Oversee annual enrollment, projects, and prioritised benefits tasks.
• Ensure programs comply with regulations and monitor regulatory developments.
