Job summary

Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD, is seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to lead the employee benefits and retirement programs within a mission-driven healthcare organization.

You will oversee leave administration, workers' compensation, wellness initiatives, and compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, collaborating with Payroll and HR to enhance benefit offerings and enrollment. A strong strategic mindset and proven leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 6+ years of employee benefits administration experience.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage health, welfare, retirement, wellness, and leave of absence programs.
• Lead and develop Benefits and Leave Administration team members.
• Oversee benefits enrollment, audits, reporting, and vendor management.
• Administer FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and return-to-work programs.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and related regulations.
• Partner with Payroll, HR, and business leaders to optimize benefits processes and employee communications.
• Lead annual Open Enrollment planning and implementation.
• Evaluate and recommend benefit plan enhancements to support organizational goals.
