Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking a Benefits Administrator to oversee ADA accommodations, FMLA leave, and CCPS benefits for employees and retirees in Virginia. Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of HR policies, COBRA, ADA, FMLA, ACA, HIPAA and related laws.
• Ability to evaluate RFPs and make informed judgments.
• Strong written and verbal communication with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ADA accommodations processing and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Administers FMLA and CCPS leave programs and advises on timelines.
• Manages employee insurance programs including life, health, dental and vision.
• Administers COBRA benefits and responds to related inquiries.
• Processes VRS retirement and performs related calculations and eligibility checks.
• Provides responsive customer service to employees and retirees.
• Maintains records and reports per laws and policies.
• Conducts counseling for prospective retirees and explains retirement options.
• Develops communication tools about benefits and changes.
• Coordinates open enrollment and liaises with vendors and departments.
