Job summary

JBM Planning and Consulting, LLC is seeking a Senior Benefit Consultant in Bordentown, NJ. You will support the Fund’s monthly meetings by preparing exhibits, narratives, and analyses, while handling data-driven insights from medical and pharmacy claims.

The role offers visibility to fund commissioners, and collaboration with Horizon BCBSNJ, Prime Therapeutics, and stop-loss partners. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in health insurance consulting, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Three to five years of health insurance or benefits consulting experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical/pharmacy claims data and cost containment levers.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data models.
• Excellent written communication and client-ready presentations.
• Experience using AI tools in daily workflows.
• Ability to interact with Fund Commissioners and senior vendors.
• Life and Health producer license (or willingness to obtain within 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze monthly claims and utilization data from multiple vendors.
• Prepare Commissioners-ready exhibits, narratives, and analyses.
• Develop Excel models and PowerPoint decks for meetings and evaluations.
• Serve as primary day-to-day contact with the Fund Administrator and vendors.
• Support vendor negotiations, RFIs/RFPs, and contract reviews.
