Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions is seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist to oversee compliance for PEO master benefit plans, including ACA, ERISA, and Form 5500 reporting. You will provide research, guidance, and documentation to Benefits Administration and other internal teams, not client-facing by phone.

This role requires building SOPs, maintaining compliance calendars, auditing data, and staying ahead of regulatory changes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 2–4 years in benefits compliance (e.g., ACA reporting, Form 5500, ERISA or related work).
Strong knowledge of ACA, ERISA, HIRD, Medicare Part D, and Form 5500 filing requirements.
Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance and SOPs.

Responsibilities

Monitor and ensure ACA compliance for PEO master plans, including 1094-C/1095-C reporting.
Prepare, review, and file Form 5500 annual reports for master plans; coordinate with TPAs and auditors.
Track federal and state requirements (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA) and update teams.
Complete Medicare Part D Creditable Coverage disclosures and CMS reporting.
Manage state filings (e.g., MA HIRD) and similar requirements.
Serve as compliance SME supporting Benefits Administration and other departments.
Develop and maintain compliance documentation: SOPs, FAQs, calendars, process guides.
Train and mentor team members on compliance requirements and audit readiness.
