Ladders is seeking a Managing Senior Counsel - Benefits & Compensation to serve as a senior legal advisor across employee benefits, executive compensation, and related governance matters in a highly regulated healthcare environment.

The attorney will partner with HR, finance, fiduciaries, and business leaders to support plan design, compliance, risk mitigation, and the administration of complex benefits programs.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in at least one state.
• 10+ years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation, particularly with ERISA and related laws.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal counsel on health and welfare benefit plan design and governance
• Advise on compliance with federal and state laws related to employee benefits
• Support the administration of defined contribution and retirement programs
• Draft and review plan documents and participant communications
• Advise fiduciaries on governance practices and risk mitigation strategies
• Support compliance audits and governmental examinations for benefit plans
• Provide legal counsel on executive compensation programs and M&A matters
