Job summary

LSI Industries Inc. in Blue Ash, Ohio is seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist to oversee the administration of comprehensive benefit programs and lead strategic initiatives to enhance the employee experience.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, HR partners, and vendors, drive Open Enrollment, and collaborate with Payroll, Finance, and HR for accurate reporting and reconciliation. A Bachelor’s degree in HR/related field is preferred; CEBS a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience administering employee benefit programs.
• Strong expertise in health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leave administration, and compliance.
• Experience working with brokers, insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and benefit vendors.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and recommend improvements.
• Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems (ADP experience is a plus).
• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
• A passion for providing exceptional employee service.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred. CEBS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration of our comprehensive benefit programs while ensuring employees receive outstanding service and support.
• Lead the administration of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), employee stock plans, wellness initiatives, and leave programs.
• Serve as the trusted advisor for employees, managers, HR partners, and benefit vendors.
• Drive annual Open Enrollment from planning and testing through implementation and post-enrollment audits.
• Lead HRIS enhancements, vendor implementations, process improvements, and acquisition integrations.
• Partner with brokers and vendors to continually improve our benefit offerings and employee experience.
• Analyze benefit trends, utilization, and costs to recommend innovative solutions and strategic improvements.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable regulations.
• Coordinate leave administration and disability programs while providing exceptional employee support.
• Develop engaging employee communications, educational materials, and wellness initiatives that help employees maximize their benefits.
• Partner closely with Payroll, Finance, and HR to ensure accurate administration, reporting, and financial reconciliation.
