Job summary

City of Colorado Springs is seeking a Senior Benefits Advisor to shape the benefits experience and ensure compliant, high-quality service for employees. This role focuses on administering benefits, leave programs, ADA accommodations, and Open Enrollment while driving process improvements.

You will partner with the Compensation & Benefits Manager, manage vendor relationships, oversee system data integrity, and develop communications and training resources for staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, public administration, business, or related field.
• Five years of full-time benefits administration experience.
• Experience with vendor management and contract processes.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Compensation & Benefits Manager to administer benefits, wellness, and retiree programs.
• Lead leave administration and ADA accommodations with compliance guidance.
• Oversee Open Enrollment planning, communication, and implementation.
• Coordinate with vendors, support renewals, and improve service delivery.
• Analyze data, ensure HRIS integrity, and develop SOPs and communications.
