Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Bench Equipment Engineer to drive cleaning, repair, rebuild and testing of semiconductor subassemblies and to maintain equipment in the bench area.

You will document work in the tracking system and develop procedures with safety and quality in mind. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing and 5+ years of engineering experience with mechanical aptitude; a master’s degree or 6+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing required.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with mechanical aptitude; bench engineer a plus.
• Ability to lead cross-functional continuous-improvement initiatives and document work accurately.

Responsibilities

• Clean, repair, troubleshoot, rebuild and test semiconductor equipment subassemblies.
• Document completed work in the equipment-tracking system with precision.
• Develop and update detailed technical procedures for supported subassemblies.
• Perform failure analysis and generate reports for non‑conforming subassemblies.
• Adhere to safety procedures including PPE, lockout, and chemical safety.
