Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, ID is seeking a Bench Equipment Engineer to define business processes for cleaning, repair, rebuild and testing of semiconductor equipment subassemblies.

You will document work, develop procedures, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in engineering with mechanical aptitude and a proven track record in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
• 5+ years’ engineering experience with mechanical aptitude; bench engineer preferred.
• Strong analytical skills to drive projects and Fab Operations Support.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and manage several projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional continuous-improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Clean, repair, troubleshoot, rebuild, and test equipment subassemblies.
• Document work in the equipment tracking program.
• Develop and update technical procedures for subassemblies.
• Perform failure analysis for subassemblies not meeting specs.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE, lockout, chemical safety.
• Incorporate AI to speed execution.
