Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, ID is seeking a Bench Equipment Engineer to define business processes for cleaning, repair, rebuild, and testing of bench subassemblies. You will work with process area staff to ensure high-quality, timely maintenance of equipment and contribute to innovations in execution speed using AI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
• More than 5 years' experience in engineering with mechanical aptitude; bench engineer preferred.
• Strong analytical skills driving projects and programs to improve Fab Operational Support.
• Outstanding ability to coordinate across multiple teams and juggle projects.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional continuous-improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Clean, repair, troubleshoot, rebuild, and test semiconductor equipment subassemblies.
• Document completed work in the equipment tracking program with precision.
• Develop and update detailed technical procedures related to supported subassemblies.
• Complete failure analysis and reports for subassemblies not meeting expected performance.
• Adhere to safety procedures and area work rules, including proper PPE, lockout, and chemical safety protocols.
• Incorporate and leverage AI to facilitate speed of execution.
