Job summary

Florida Blue seeks a Senior Behavioral Scientist to translate evidence-based behavioral science into tangible business impact. You will collaborate with senior leadership and product teams to drive member engagement, health outcomes, and smarter enterprise decision-making.

You will design and lead research studies, analyze behavioral data, consult on interventions, and scale solutions that matter—balancing rigorous science with practical implementation in a major healthcare organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related work experience in behavioral science, experimental research, or related field
• Advanced degree (Master's minimum) in behavioral science, decision science, data science, experimental economics, psychology, social science, or related field
• Experience designing and conducting experiments in lab or field settings, including randomized controlled trials, A/B tests, and quasi-experimental designs
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with statistical modeling, computational methods and using statistical / analytical tools (R, Python or equivalent)
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex research into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior executives and cross-functional teams to identify high-impact opportunities where behavioral science can advance core business priorities
• Consult with stakeholders on business challenges, applying behavioral insights to improve decision-making, adoption, engagement, member experience, affordability, and health outcomes
• Support enterprise transformation and change management efforts, including the adoption and ethical implementation of AI and emerging technologies
• Develop frameworks and playbooks that make behavioral science accessible and actionable across the organization
• Own measurement and evaluation frameworks to assess impact and build the evidence base for what works
