Job summary

The Behavioral Health Technician III at Valleywise Health provides comprehensive physical and psychological care to patients under Court-Ordered Evaluation or Treatment in inpatient facilities located in Maryvale, Phoenix, or Mesa.

As a senior member of a multidisciplinary treatment team, the BHT III collaborates with clinical staff, patients, and families to support a safe, therapeutic environment and to mentor staff on advanced patient care practices.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years of behavioral health experience or a Bachelor's degree or higher in any field plus 1.5 years of behavioral health experience.
• Basic Behavioral Sciences Certificate of Completion or a Bachelor's degree in a field related to Behavioral Health is preferred.
• Must complete phlebotomy training within six months of hire/promotion.
• Requires BLS issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physical and psychological care to patients under Court-Ordered Evaluation or Treatment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team to support a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Support unit operations with Charge Nurse or CRL and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
