Valleywise Health is seeking a BHT Academy Site Leader to provide site-wide support to Participants and Preceptors at one of our inpatient facilities (Maryvale, Phoenix, Mesa). This leadership role bridges gaps between participants and the Nursing Administration to ensure proper progression through the program.

The position emphasizes collaboration within the BHT Academy and requires a blend of clinical knowledge and supervisory skills to maintain program integrity.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 1.5 years of behavioral health experience or equivalent.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona DPS or apply within seven days.
• CPI instructor certification within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Behavioral Sciences Certificate of Completion is preferred.

BHT Academy Site Coordinator Internal Job

The BHT Academy Site Leader is a Behavioral Health Technician subject matter expert that provides site-wide support to BHT Academy Participants and Preceptors. This support is provided at one of our three inpatient facilities (Maryvale, Phoenix, and Mesa). The BHT Academy Site Leader is part of the leadership team, bridging the gaps between BHT Academy Participants, Preceptors, and the Behavioral Health Nursing Administration. This role is critical to ensuring BHT Academy Participants are progressing through the program appropriately.

Annual Salary Range: $53,996.80 - $79,643.20

Qualifications

Education

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 1.5 years of behavioral health experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

• Prefer 2 years of experience working as a Behavioral Health Tech III/IV at Valleywise Health.
• Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of age and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and providing services within the personnel member’s scope of practice.

Certification/Licensure

• Requires BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit completed application to the Arizona Department of Public Safety within seven days of transfer date.
• Fingerprint clearance cards must remain valid for the entire period of issuance and must be renewed prior to expiration.
• Must be CPI instructor certified within 6 months of hire or transfer into the role.
• Basic Behavioral Sciences Certificate of Completion is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must demonstrate the skills and knowledge to provide behavioral health services to adults, including those over the age of 65, adolescents, individuals with substance abuse, individuals who are seriously mentally ill, individuals who have co-occurring disorder, and/or individuals who may be victims or perpetrators of domestic violence.
• Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.
• Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to patiently teach and work with entry-level staff members.
• Must be able to have crucial conversations and provide feedback and direction to both BHT Academy Participants and Preceptors.
