Job summary

iCare Health Services seeks a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for our outpatient clinic in Tempe, AZ. The BHT provides direct behavioral health services under supervision, helping members achieve treatment goals and emotional wellness.

The role involves crisis prevention, documentation in the EHR, and collaboration with clinicians, with competitive pay and flexible scheduling. Prior BHT experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field; OR
• Associate’s degree + 2 years of behavioral health experience; OR
• High school diploma/GED + 4 years of behavioral health experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health interventions and skill-building sessions (individual, family, and group).
• Implement treatment, safety, and crisis plans under supervision of a licensed clinician.
• Support members with medication education, health promotion, and community integration.
• Accurately document services and progress notes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Participate in crisis prevention, safety planning, and de-escalation.
• Collaborate with clinical teams, case managers, and families to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain compliance with AHCCCS, ADHS, and iCare Health Services standards.
