Job summary

FHCHS of PR, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Manager for the Behavioral Health Contact Center in Puerto Rico. The role focuses on telephonic counseling, crisis and emergency management, and coordinating care and referrals for members.

The manager collaborates with psychiatrists on complex cases and ensures accessibility and quality of care. Responsibilities include training staff, reporting service trends, coordinating appointments, and maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards per company

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s in social work, psychology, psychological counseling, mental health counseling, or psychiatric nursing.
• Active license for Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing, Psychological Counseling, Psychology or Mental Health Counseling.
• Professional association membership (colegiación) for Social Work and Psychiatric Nursing.
• Two+ years of experience in the health field.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office.
• Fully bilingual (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Counsels and provides training or retraining support to new staff.
• Attends and participates in assigned meetings.
• Gathers data for service reports and trends.
• Fulfills objectives and tasks within established timeframes.
• Identifies and reports relevant matters to the Behavioral Health Contact Center Director.
• Adheres to attendance and punctuality policies.
• Applies policies and procedures pertinent to the Behavioral Health Contact Center.
• Maintains professional conduct and therapeutic relationships with patients and relatives.
• Complies with company policies and customer requirements.
• Receives and verifies referrals for care coordination; coordinates appointments.
• Ensures timely coordination of care for members and dependents.
• Issues service authorizations and informs members about coordinated appointments.
• Provides backup to Utilization Review outside business hours.
• Participates in new projects as assigned by supervisor or director.
