Job summary

OPmobility in Indiana is seeking a Battery Systems Engineer to lead battery pack design with emphasis on architectural and electrical aspects. You will develop test procedures, perform electrical evaluations, and contribute to risk assessments and simulations.

Collaborating with a global team, you will support APQP, ensure ISO and safety compliance, and contribute to post-sourcing reviews. Travel to Indiana is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8+ years of engineering experience, ideally in battery/automotive with hybrid/electric vehicles.
• Preferred: 4 years’ experience in battery pack development.

Responsibilities

• Designs battery packs with emphasis on architecture and electrical aspects.
• Develops test procedures and cycling equipment for electrical product evaluations.
• Performs technical risk analysis and simulations.
• Maintains project records and reports.
• Participates in process improvement.
