Job summary

Gotion Illinois New Energy Inc. is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead battery product development from RFIs/RFQs through six months after Start of Production. You will ensure timing, cost, quality and delivery while driving profitability and customer satisfaction across the product lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or above, strong leadership, APQP/PPAP knowledge, and experience with high-voltage batteries and EV energy systems. Occasional travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or above required.
Familiarity with the battery manufacturing process desirable.
Minimum 5 years electrification experience.
Knowledge of high voltage batteries, new energy vehicles and energy storage systems.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
Experience at an EV component supplier or OEM.
APQP, PPAP, ISO/TS 16949, project management, marketing & competition analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead the battery product to meet customer demands from RFIs/RFQs to six months after Start of Production.
Ensure customer satisfaction and profitability across the product life cycle.
Highlight product competitive advantages and build strong customer relationships.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams on design, production, quality and delivery.
Support sales with RFIs and RFQs and assist in commercial negotiations.
Travel to customer sites as required and manage projects end-to-end.
