Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking a Product Development Systems Engineer in Cockeysville, MD to lead architecture, requirements development, integration, and validation for battery management systems and related power electronics.

You will work with cross‑functional engineering teams to drive technical decisions, perform safety analyses, and guide development from concept to production, influencing product strategy and growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
7+ years in systems or electrical engineering for complex product development.
Experience with BMS, battery storage, power electronics.
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (Green Card).
Strong requirements management and system architecture skills.

Responsibilities

Lead systems engineering from requirements through integration, verification, validation, and product launch.
Develop and manage system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and traceability.
Define battery system architecture and lead development involving BMS, power electronics, supervision controls, and integration.
Conduct trade studies, design reviews, safety analyses, risk assessments, and fault management.
Develop verification and validation strategies with lab, HIL, prototype, and product testing.
Contribute to electrical architecture, interface design, components, schematics, and prototyping.
Collaborate across electrical, software, mechanical, and controls teams; support proposals and roadmaps.
Evaluate emerging technologies for future product development and growth.
