Job summary

Saft America, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong Electrical Engineering background to shape and validate advanced battery system architectures.

You will combine systems discipline with hands-on electrical design to drive requirements, interfaces and verification across prototypes and early products. The role involves leadership in architecture, risk assessment, and cross-functional work with teams in Cockeysville and Bordeaux, contributing to program milestones and safety analyses

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree required, in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in complex product development with hands-on electrical or systems design responsibilities.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering programs and progress products through development and validation phases.
• Experience implementing or reviewing electrical designs, schematics, wiring diagrams, protection concepts or power conversion interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize target applications for advanced battery systems with marketing and product managers.
• Define and run systems engineering activities for battery system development programs.
• Maintain system requirements, architectures and interface specifications.
• Establish roadmaps to mature prototypes into industrialized solutions.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, design and validation.
