Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer to perform engineering activities for project development and assist with technical design of utility-scale battery storage projects. This on-site role is based in downtown Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities include interfacing with OEMs, preparing layouts, site evaluation, permitting, and supporting RFPs and project financing. Requires BS in engineering and 2+ years in renewables; MS preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years engineering or related technical discipline experience, renewable energy preferred.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Interface with battery, inverter, and OEMs for technical information and trends.
• Prepare conceptual layouts using QGIS, CAD, or Visio; optimize layouts for value.
• Support site evaluation, permitting, and due diligence efforts.
• Coordinate electrical design with Engineering, Project Management, and Operations.
• Support RFPs, pricing models, and lender due diligence questions.
